Case Workers are frequently faced with parents who use or abuse marijuana and the challenge to assess how this addiction impacts child safety. During this training participants will learn:

  • How to assess for child safety when parents use marijuana (legally or illegally);
  • The impact of second hand marijuana smoke and the science about impairment;
  • The science about pre-natal exposure to marijuana use and its long term effects;
  • Tips to assist workers to work with parents who use or abuse marijuana to promote child safety.
